SCHURTER Spotlights Shock-Safe Fuseholder for High Current Application and 400 V Three-Phase Systems
Lucerne - August 10, 2007 - SCHURTER released today the first PCB vertical mount shock-safe fuseholder FUA, which offers an enhanced rated power acceptance and rated current. With the 500 VAC approved voltage rating at VDE, the fuseholder is also suitable for three-phase systems. It accepts with its screw type fuse carrier either 5 x 20 mm or 6.3 x 32 mm cartridge fuses.
The new fuseholder is RoHS compliant and is approved by VDE for 500 VAC, 16 A and by UL/CSA for 250 VAC, 30 A. It has a rated power acceptance of 4 W @ 16 A @ 23 °C which is unique in the market for PCB shock-safe fuseholders.
The FUA is technically the same and has the same drilling diagram as the successful horizontal mounting version FUP. It is delivered in a cardboard box of 25 pieces.
Through the 500 VAC approval at VDE, the fuseholder is suitable for three-phase systems applications with 6.3 x 32 mm fuses. It also suits the market for high current single-phase protection up to 16 A. These are HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems, power supplies, frequency converter and medical appliances.
