Successful "Contact Meeting" – with lucky winners

On April 12, 2013, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lucerne, the "Contact Meeting" took place. It was an attractive platform where employers could gather with graduates of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts as well as the University of Lucerne. SCHURTER AG was present with its own booth and introduced itself as an international employer with headquarters in the region. In addition, three students won prizes in a competition.

In 2013, some 1100 students at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts along with 620 students at the University of Lucerne will complete their programs leading to a bachelor's degree, master's degree or a doctorate. The Contact Meeting, a professional fair for graduates conducted by those two institutions of higher learning, offers an ideal opportunity to get to know these young people on a personal basis.

SCHURTER AG was represented at the Contact Meeting by Brigitte Studer, Head Human Resources, and Rolf Nussbaumer, Head Engineering. They had some very interesting conversations with graduates in the areas of informatics, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and other engineering disciplines.

All visitors at the SCHURTER booth were invited to participate in a contest where they could win an iPad and other attractive prizes. Brigitte Studer and Rolf Nussbaumer invited the three lucky winners of the main prizes to the Lucerne headquarters on May 17, 2013, for a prize ceremony and a reception. Patrick Odermatt was delighted to receive the 1st prize, while Alexandra Obrist and Marco Sicher were on hand to accept the 2nd and 3rd prizes.

SCHURTER congratulates all students on successfully completing their programs of study and extends the best wishes for much success in their professional careers. Beyond that, perhaps SCHURTER will soon have the pleasure of welcoming some new highly qualified employees on board.
